Position Title: Pool Maintenance Worker
Reports To: Senior Hospitality General Manager
The Pool Maintenance Worker is responsible for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and safe operation of the pool and surrounding amenity areas at Grand Baymen, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pool Cleaning and Water Maintenance
Clean and skim the pool daily to remove leaves, debris, and insects.
Vacuum the pool floor as needed to maintain cleanliness.
Brush pool walls and tiles to prevent algae buildup.
Check and adjust water levels to ensure proper operation.
Test and balance pool chemicals (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) to maintain safe water conditions.
Equipment and Systems Maintenance
Clean and maintain pool filters and pumps to ensure proper circulation and efficiency.
Inspect, monitor, and backwash pool pumps and filtration systems to ensure proper function.
Check for leaks or malfunctions in pool equipment and report any necessary repairs.
Pool Area Upkeep
Empty all trash cans in the pool area and dispose of accumulated garbage.
Pick up and dispose of trash around the pool area.
Sweep and mop the pool deck and surrounding areas as needed.
Clean pool furniture and organize seating arrangements as necessary.
Check and replenish poolside supplies (towels, flotation devices, safety equipment, etc.).
Fumigate the pool area for mosquitoes as needed.
Weed and maintain garden areas around the pool.
